I love Cinco de Mayo when I can stay at my home, with a favorite cd or two on to serve as white noise , maybe with some close friends who know that 5 de mayo is NOT Mexican Independence  and don't repeat that stupid joke about sinko de mayo.\.  So why do I like it at all,  It's simple .  it is one of those "hook" days when everyone is interested in all things Mexican -our culture, our mudic and our food, I particularly like this fun post , \ The next one is not  bad The great thing about having a famous son in the same business is that I always get mentioned.in articles about him Food network magazine Mother's Day issue
