Video Number 2 on TV 8’s  Good Morning Show Picadillo de Pobre and the show clossing

It had been years since I had heard from Anthony Dias Blue, who I met before drinking wine with dinner was the exception and almost  the rule.   He is now the director of the San Francisco International Wine Competition and the Tasting Panel has invited the Double Gold and Premium wine winners to travel around the country to show  off their wares.  The next stop is Beaver Creek, Colorado and I will be cooking for the rodeo and the grand tasting.

I’m sure the rodeo will bring back memories of the cattle roundups at our ranch in Chihuahua.  I  love the smell of horses, leather chaps, bulls and hunky cowboys’ sweat.  To see the vistas will be uplifting and I’ll just have to relax .

Best of all, I’ll get to see two dear friends Stephan Pyles the super talented chef from Dallas who is also taking part in the festival and brilliant food photographer Laurie Smith and her beautiful and accomplished daughter, my godchild, Zibby and her brother Jamie.  I’m sure  her husband Bobby will recount the story of the time he took me dirt biking with me wearing red mesh stockings and a  Betsey Johnson white skirt  that got caught in the spokes of the wheels and I had to go around the rest of the day with only part of the skirt covering my front and back end.
