Veracruzan Lunch for the Villalobos Brothers
Not long ago, I went to hear the Villalobos Brothers, a trio of classical violinists who have developed a style that I think is unique though there maybe other people doing it somewhere: They start a set maybe with a typical Veracruzan song such a son or jarana, slip into a classical music bit that blends into the blues or another combination of the elements. I will try to put a link up with this piece. I loved it and most people, young and old, think it is cool.till cannot figure out how to add the link in this new version of wordpress so here is the link to their annual summer concert. I invited them for a lunch of food mostly from their home city of Xalapa, Veracruz. I think they liked it. I never got to taste !
Largely prepared with the help of Foodie Finder (http://www.foodiefindernyc.blogspot) blogger, Mike Crawbuck and his devoted and most supportive mother Donna who brings him in from Long Island to wok with different chefs who eagerly welcome them to theier kitchen because of the obvious passionor and dedication to food.
