Zarela Act 7
Some of you may recall that in April I debuted an act at Casa Mezcal that was part performance art/part cooking lesson/part inspirational memoir. My intention is to prove that you can do anything you want with a condition like mild Parkinson’s and is a first step in developing a totally different and fun presentation that I want to take on the road. This is ideal for companies who want to have a different sort of entertainment. I can adjust the length, omit the singing or cooking, and still get your message across easily.
I just watched the show I put on with the brilliantly talented Humberto Flores of the Villalobos Brothers group for the first time. I was afraid to watch it, afraid that I might have made a fool of myself. I decided to add singing which is pretty ballsy since I am not a professional but without the fear factor it would not have been so much fun for me. I knew that I would not look good because of the way it was shot and that kills me because I am very vain but it is smooth and funny and went very well considering. Most importantly I got my message across well.
Beto and me share a happy moment right after the Villalobos Brothers won the Battle of the Boroughs.
