Cooking Class – Mexican Brunch-May 8th
Thanks to all of you who attended my class today and thank you for filling out the questionnaires so that I know what I have to do next time:
Most people loved the class and thought is that it was entertaining and informative. However…
Some people want less history and stories and more information on the ingredients – no problem. Will add a description of all ingredients used to this post.
Hands on classes at the restaurant are not possible but are doable in my kitchen. One of the reasons I don’t like that type of class is that each person basically only learns to make the dish they choose or assigned. Call and ask for price
Snacks and coffee were the main request so we can adjust the price to include that.
Surprisingly people want to learn real basics: moles, tamales, pozole. Both can be done at my kitchen but are time-consuming and not inexpensive. You can let me know what day and time are good for you.
The set up is not ideal and we were a trifle disorganized. It was the first time we had done it. I apologize.
Cooking class dinner parties are fun and can be done for groups of 8. Price depends on menu.
I had a great time and it seems you did too. So I am very happy!
You asked for it, you’ve got it! I will be giving a brunch cooking class at the restaurant on Saturday, May 8th, from 11:30-1:30. It’s only $35. because it’s part of the Mexican Cultural Institute’s Food is Art Culinary program and includes the class, brunch and a beverage. You can reserve and pay through Pal Pal.
Unfortunately we are now completely sold out. If you want you can send me an email at zarela@zarela.com and we’ll contact you if we have a cancellation.
I will be giving other classes after the summer because so many people go away on weekends and give lessons at home for small groups at a higher price.
Thank you for the amazing response.
